About Cynthia L. Ewing
Cynthia (“Cindy”) is an attorney with over 25 years practice experience in Virginia. She has primarily focused her practice on family law matters, such as divorce, child custody, spousal and child support. Cindy was a Certified Public Accountant prior to practicing law and thus, she is especially suited to handle complex financial issues associated with her cases. She also practices in the areas of business law, wills and estates, contracts, real estate transactions and other general legal matters. Cindy also has training to engage in Collaborative Law in an effort to resolve matters without litigation. Cindy takes her cases seriously and prioritizes zealously representing her clients and promptly responding their issues. She has a reputation of being an aggressive attorney for her clients and she receives substantial word of mouth referrals and repeat clientele because of her reputation.

- Testified before U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Ways and Means, Subcommittee on Human Resources on Welfare Reform proposals
- Testified on pending family law legislation before various Virginia General Assembly committees, the Indiana Judicial Commission, General Assembly of Georgia, and the Council of the District of Columbia

- Cindy has worked at various law firms in the past since law school, including Tomlin, Temple & Ewing, The Ewing Law firm, PC, Bush & Taylor, PC, and Green, Hampton & Kelly, PLLC.
- Cindy was also Assistant Director of Virginia Children’s Access Program (VCAP), which was a program funded by the Virginia Department of Social Services for providing mediation services to court litigants.
- Cindy’s previous financial experience included serving as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for a midwestern business, Taylor-Newcomb, Inc., a tax analyst for Mayyflower Group, Inc, and a CPA with Ernst & Whinney, a multinational C.P.A. Firm (now Ernst & Young)
